How to Batch Upload Images for Your Online Store
Managing hundreds of product photos for an online store doesn't have to be painful. Here's the most efficient workflow.
Why Batch Upload Matters
A typical online store with 50 products might have 5 photos per product — that's 250 images. Uploading them one by one wastes hours. jmgBB supports batch upload so you can select multiple images at once and upload them simultaneously.
Organize with Albums
Create albums for each product category. This keeps your images organized and makes it easy to find specific product photos later.
Use the Right File Sizes
Before uploading, resize your images to an appropriate maximum dimension. There's no benefit to uploading a 5000px photo when it will be displayed at 600px. jmgBB has a built-in resize tool, but pre-resizing your images before upload is even faster.
Image Naming Convention
Use descriptive filenames before uploading: wireless-bluetooth-headphones-black.jpg is much better for SEO than IMG_4523.jpg.
Next Steps
After uploading, use the bulk URL export feature to get all your image URLs at once for easy insertion into your store backend.
